Volunteer Organizing Committee

Provided by IBEW Local 1, St. Louis

Made available to other local unions upon request. Submissions are forwarded to local union organizers based on the member’s local union.

“To organize all workers in the entire electrical industry… into local unions.”

Constitution of the IBEW — Objects, First Article

Organizing the whole jurisdiction is not work that staff organizers can do alone. It requires the participation of the membership.

Indicate below which organizing activities you are willing to undertake. All of them matter, but not every task suits every member. Choose only what you are comfortable doing.

Nationally there is one full-time IBEW organizer for every 1,033 unrepresented electrical workers. With member volunteers taking part, that ratio becomes one to 2.3.
